Business Startup 101: From Business Structure to Licensing

This ONSITE ONLY workshop is a collaboration between the Oklahoma SBDC and the City of Owasso, bringing valuable startup resources and education to current and aspiring entrepreneurs. Whether you're just starting to explore a business idea or are ready to make it official, this workshop will guide you through the essential steps of launching a business in Oklahoma. Learn about the free resources and expert advising available through the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and gain a clear understanding of the decisions and requirements involved in starting your business. Topics include choosing the right business structure, registering your business with the State of Oklahoma, obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS, understanding when a sales tax permit is required, and identifying the licenses and permits that may apply to your business at the federal, state, county, or local level. Whether you're planning a new venture or want to ensure you're starting on the right foot, this workshop will provide the knowledge and resources you need to launch your business with confidence.
