Topic: Managing a Business

The Oklahoma SBDC and our Cyber Professionals at Rose State College are partnering to bring you an expert who can help small businesses understand how they can navigate this new, remote environment where cybersecurity is more important than ever. Small businesses are often seen as prime targets for hackers since they tend to have fewer resources to protect against and mitigate cyber threats. Data shows that roughly half of cyber-attacks specifically target small businesses, and 70% of small businesses feel unprepared to handle one. At a time when most businesses are opening in a primarily digital environment, business owners must proactively defend themselves against phishing schemes, malware attacks and other intrusions by putting the right plans and systems in place to prevent cybercrime before it occurs. If you are interested in learning more about how you can protect yourself and your small business, please make plans to join us for this information-packed event. This workshop will cover the following topics: * Password Manager Programs * Cyber Insurance * POS Systems * Most common types of hacking * Multi Factor Authentication * Backup methods * Making sure your employees aren't your weakest link * Departing employees - resetting accounts, etc. Those attending will have the chance to have questions answered and will receive a copy of this presentation.
